Private Music Lessons
Totts Gap Arts Instutute offers both private lessons and summer music camps for both young and old. Our staff of proffesionals has years of experience, having taught hundreds of students to play and enjoy music. Call for private piano, guitar, drums and voice lesson schedule and ask about coming ensemble classes.
Fee: $25/half hour and $45/hour
Guitar and Piano
Instructor: Andy Rabbat,
Andy Rabbat holds a B.A. in Music from New York University, and is the area’s only Suzuki Certified Instructor. He is the founder of Andy’s Family Music Center and School of Music in Livingston, NJ now in its 20th year. With a vast teaching experience we are proud to have Andy directing the Music program.
Drums
Instructor: Bill Goodwin
From 1959 to the present, Mr. Goodwin has been a professional drummer, playing with the likes of Bill Evans, Dexter Gordon, Art Pepper, Jim Hall, George Shearing and Tony Bennett. Mr. Goodwin is a charter member of The Phil Woods Quartet (now Quintet), joining at it’s inception in February 1974 having produced the Grammy Award winning albums MORE LIVE (Adelphi), AT THE VANGUARD (Antilles) and the 1992 Grammy nominee ALL BIRD’S CHILDREN
Voice
Instructor: Vicki Doney
Vicki Doney has a unique style of vocal instruction with a natural approach for effortless singing. Using the keyboard or guitar to teach beginning harmony to find your natural voice.
A capella Ensemble
Tuesdays 3:00-4:30pm
Sign up for this weekly vocal jam session with Vicki Doney. Students will form a small ensemble with the goal of performing traditional american pop & gospel tunes at local events. They’ll learn to blend their voices through ear training and harmony lessons.
Fee: 6 ssessions for $90
